Kayaking in Sfakia

Loutro of Sfakia is most likely the most protected bay for kayak in Crete. The seaside of village is located at a distance of about 71 km. south of Chania.
The only access is by kayak or any other boat and of course by foot.
There are no big hotels with swimming pools and no overcrowded streets, restaurants, beaches and also there are no cars!

Samaria Gorge
Samaria Gorge is Europe’s largest gorge. This National Park is 18kms long with unbelievable natural beauty. The gorge is rich with many endemic flowers & herbs with crystal clear spring water flowing from the mountains.
Walk through a deep ravine that’s bathed in sun yet shaded by trees. Descend from often misty mountains on stony hiking paths, cross crystalline springs, walk over fascinating rocky landscapes, admire breath-taking cliffs and take breaks near gurgling fountains. This is the longest gorge in Europe, extending over 18 kilometres (11 miles). It begins at the plateau of Omalos deep in the mountains and ends at the little beachside village of AgiaRoumeli on the Southern coast of the island.

Kournas Lake
The only freshwater lake on the island, Kournas Lake, is located at the north edge of the White Mountains, barely 4 km from Georgioupolis, on the borders of Apokoronas.
Swimming in the summer, picnic or sailing in a boat. Kournas lake can conbine many activities.
